NeoMix privacy policy
Version 1.0, 6 November 2026
This version is awaiting review by Skycast's lawyer and may be updated. The current version is always at this address.
1. Who we are
This policy is given by Skycast Media Network Private Limited ("Skycast", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India (CIN U60200TN2024PTC175526, GSTIN 33ABOCS8682G1ZR), whose registered office is at VO-144, WeWork Olympia Cyberspace, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600032, India. It covers the NeoMix software for macOS, the NeoMix Live app for iPhone and iPad, and Skycast's online services for them (this website, pairing.skycast.in, licence activation and updates). Skycast is responsible for the personal data described here (the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and the "controller" under the GDPR).
"Personal data" means information about an identifiable person. It does not include information about a company.
2. The short version
- NeoMix runs on your Mac. Your shows, pictures, sound, recordings and stream keys stay on your Mac.
- NeoMix talks to Skycast only to activate your licence, to register its trial, to check for updates, and to complete a platform sign-in when you choose one. NeoMix registers an anonymous code for this Mac to keep the trial fair; nothing personal is sent. There is no telemetry and no advertising, and we never sell or rent personal data.
- When you connect YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Twitch, the sign-in is kept in your Mac's Keychain, not by us. Live comments are shown in NeoMix while you are live and are not stored by Skycast.
- You can disconnect a platform at any time, in NeoMix or on the platform's own security page (section 9).
3. What we collect, and when
| When | What Skycast receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You buy a licence | Your order details from our reseller, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), the merchant of record, which sells NeoMix to you, takes the payment and handles tax: Paddle's transaction and customer identifiers, what you bought, the name you give for the licence and, for an upgrade or renewal, the licence key you enter. Paddle may also share your name, email and country with us for support. We never see your card. | To issue, upgrade, renew or withdraw your licence and to support it, and to keep tax and accounting records. |
| You activate or deactivate NeoMix | The licence key, the Mac ID (a code derived from the Mac's hardware identifier; the identifier and serial number never leave the Mac) and the NeoMix version. When NeoMix starts, it asks once whether this Mac holds the licence, sending the licence key and Mac ID. | To enforce the number of Macs your licence allows (EULA section 4). |
| NeoMix runs on a Mac for the first time (the trial) | The Mac ID (the same anonymous code) and the first day of the trial as the Mac knows it. We keep only the Mac ID and the earliest date; no name, email or other personal data. If our service cannot be reached, NeoMix tries again later; it never waits for us. | To keep the 15-day trial fair: one trial per Mac, however often NeoMix is reinstalled. |
| NeoMix checks for updates | The NeoMix version, and what any web request carries, such as your IP address. | To offer updates. You can turn automatic checks off. |
| You pair an iPhone or iPad, or join a Zoom meeting | A random id for the Mac, and the Mac's private LAN address for its camera page's name. | To give the Mac a secure address on your own network. |
| You sign in to a platform from NeoMix | For at most ten minutes, the sign-in tokens the platform returns (section 4), until your Mac collects them. | To complete the sign-in with the platform's app secret, which never leaves our service. |
| You write to us | Your message and contact details, and anything you choose to send, such as a crash report. | To answer you. |
NeoMix never sends us usage statistics, telemetry, crash reports (unless you send one), or anything about your shows: their inputs, pictures, sound, comments, titles or stream keys.
4. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch
Connecting a platform is optional. You sign in on the platform's own page, in your web browser, and the platform shows you what NeoMix asks to do. We ask only for what these features need:
| Platform | What NeoMix reads or does |
|---|---|
| YouTube (YouTube API Services) | Your channel's name and id; your live broadcasts and streams, to create and schedule a broadcast (title, description, thumbnail you choose, privacy), connect NeoMix's stream to it and start and end it; and the live chat of your broadcast (the author's display name and picture, the message, and any Super Chat details) to show it in NeoMix. |
| Your name and the Pages you manage; live videos on your profile or those Pages, to create and schedule them and get their stream address; and the comments on those live videos (the commenter's name and the message), to show them in NeoMix. | |
| Instagram (a professional account linked to a Facebook Page) | The account's username and id, whether it is live now, and the comments on its live broadcast, to show them in NeoMix. Instagram does not let apps start a live broadcast: you start it in Instagram's Live Producer and paste its stream key into NeoMix. |
| Twitch | Your user name and id; your channel's chat messages (the chatter's name and the message), to show them in NeoMix; your stream key, so NeoMix can stream without one being pasted; and your stream title and category. |
Where this is kept. The sign-in (the platform's access and refresh tokens) is stored only in the Keychain of the Mac you signed in on. Skycast's service exchanges the platform's one-time code for these tokens with the app secret, holds them for at most ten minutes until your Mac collects them, then deletes them; when an access token runs out, your Mac asks our service for a fresh one and we pass it straight back without keeping it. Stream keys are kept in the Mac's Keychain like every other stream key.
Comments. NeoMix reads comments directly from the platform on your Mac, keeps the most recent ones in memory so you can choose one, and forgets them when the broadcast or NeoMix ends. They are never sent to Skycast and never written to disk by NeoMix. A comment you choose to put on screen becomes part of your programme, and so of any recording or stream you make.
What we never do with platform data. We do not sell it, share it, use it for advertising or profiling, combine it with other data, or use it for anything except the features above. We do not post, comment, message or change anything on your account except what you ask NeoMix to do (create, schedule, start or end a broadcast, set its title, description, thumbnail or privacy).
The platforms' own terms. By connecting YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Facebook and Instagram are governed by Meta's Privacy Policy and Twitch by the Twitch Privacy Notice. NeoMix's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies, including their limits on use.
5. Cookies
This website and NeoMix's online services set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising trackers. The platforms' own sign-in pages set their own cookies under their own policies.
6. How long we keep data, and security
- Platform sign-in tokens: at most ten minutes on our service, then deleted (section 4).
- Activation records (licence, edition, Mac IDs, versions, dates): for as long as the licence exists, and then as long as the law requires.
- Trial registrations (a Mac ID and a date): for as long as NeoMix is sold, so a Mac's trial is never started twice.
- Orders and invoices: for as long as Indian tax and company law requires (currently eight years).
- Support email: for as long as needed to help you, and normally no more than three years after the last message.
- Rate-limit counters (which include IP addresses): at most eight days.
Our services run on Cloudflare's network over HTTPS only. Secrets are held as encrypted Worker secrets. Access is limited to the Skycast staff who need it.
7. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the providers who run parts of our service for us, under contract and only for that purpose: Cloudflare (hosting this service), Google Workspace (our email), and Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, our reseller and merchant of record, which processes your purchase under its own privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy). Platform data goes only between your Mac and the platform, and through our service during a sign-in as described in section 4. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it. These providers may process data outside India, for example in the United States or the European Union.
8. Your rights
You may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, and to correct, complete, update or erase it, and you may withdraw any consent you gave. People in the European Union, the United Kingdom and elsewhere where the law gives them further rights (such as portability, restriction and objection) may use those too. Write to contact@skycast.in; we confirm who you are before we act. You may also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
9. Disconnecting a platform, and deleting your data
In NeoMix: Settings → Accounts → choose the platform → Sign out. NeoMix revokes its access with the platform and deletes the sign-in from the Mac's Keychain.
On the platform, at any time, even without NeoMix:
- Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions → NeoMix → Remove access.
- Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → NeoMix → Remove. Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → NeoMix → Remove.
- Twitch: twitch.tv/settings/connections → NeoMix → Disconnect.
Since Skycast keeps no platform data, nothing more is needed. The data deletion page has the full instructions, including how to ask us to erase your licence, order or support records.
10. Children
NeoMix is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18.
11. Questions and complaints
Write to our grievance officer, Mr. Iyyappan N, Compliance Head, at contact@skycast.in, or by post to our registered office. We acknowledge every message within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the data protection authority where you live.
12. Changes to this policy
We publish every change at this address, with a new version number and date. If a change affects what NeoMix sends or keeps, NeoMix tells you about it before the change applies.
